The Circus...

Sunday morning Nico and I headed to the circus with Mom and Cat. We got there early and got to go down on the floor for a little pre-show entertainment. We all had a wonderful time. Nico really liked the animals...go figure!!!

Let's Go Preds...

Mom gave us Predators (Nashville's pro hockey team) tickets for Christmas. She won four tickets and David was able to get some free ones from a friend at work. So Monday night we, along with mom, Cat, Ashley and Andy went to the game. We knew we had to buy a ticket for Nico just to get him in the door. Didn't matter if it was with our seats or not because he would sit in our laps anyway. As we were entering the arena we explained our situation to the doorman. We just wanted to get in the right line, but he told us he could take care of that and pulled a ticket out of his pocket. Thanks doorman, wherever you are! It started at 7 so we went into it knowing Nico might not last the entire game...boy were we wrong! He loved it! He started getting restless at the beginning of the 3rd period, but then he notice the two tween girls behind us. He is such a flirt! Oh, and he made it on the Jumbo-tron!!!
Family shot!
Such a flirt! Look how cute he looks in his Predators jersey!

Winter-time Fun...

It has been REALLY cold the past week, so we've be forced to find fun things to do inside. Giggy gave Nico a Play-doh kit for Christmas. Nico had a lot of fun watching mommy make miniature animals and food. We played for a good 45 minutes. That's a long time for my buzzing little man! Play-doh is now a daily activity!
This is what we did while we waited for the snow.
After his nap, we got bundled up to go play in the snow. This was his first time playing in it. I think it flurried a little last winter, so not his first time seeing it. In the picture above I think he is trying to smell the snow?
One of his favorite things to do outside, sun or snow!
After about 30 minutes, we came in for hot chocolate and peppermint sticks. Yummy! I served him his first. By the time I got mine he was already dipping his candy into the hot chocolate. How'd he know to do that???

Pump It Up...

Monday morning, to break our cabin fever, Nico and I went to open play at Pump It Up. It's an indoor, inflatable play area. The amazing thing is that it's free for parents and kids under 2! He loves it! He's fearless!
"You watching?"
"Here I go! Climbing to the top!"
"Wheeeeeeeee!"
"That was FUN!"
"Let's do it again!"

Happy New Year...

On New Year's Eve my mommy group gets together to celebrate on another country's clock, thus way earlier than midnight. Last year we celebrated when Spain did, this year it was Italy. The celebration was complete with Italian themed munchies. It was a great time! Those ladies are a great support system and wonderful friends. I am so lucky to have them in my life! Also, our friend, Sarah, was here overnight. She got here just in time to come celebrate with us. So glad she was here with us!
Nico playing with Thomas' trains. Never gets old!
Posing with Elmo and Cookie Monster.
He LOVES Elmo-Kiss, Kiss! Such a sweetie!

Movies and Lunch...

Last Wednesday, Nico, my mom and myself went to the movies. We opted for the fully animated film A Princess and the Frog. Not the most masculine, I know, but he (we all) really liked it. He sat through the whole thing!!! We had popcorn and candy to keep us afloat! We went to the earliest show (9:15 am) hoping to be in a near-empty theater just in case. So happy he did well-This opens up a whole new activity to do together...especially since it's so bitterly cold out. After the movie we hit a couple of stores and then it was off the The Aquarium Restaurant for "munch". Great day!!!
These cute chipmunks were in the lobby.
Driving the car outside the theater. My little speed racer!
