"Playing" with Mattie...

Nico was having a blast playing with Mattie. Mattie doesn't know what to think of Nico's mobility. Luckily he thinks it's hilarious when she runs away!

On another note, Nico is REALLY walking now. He definitely prefers it over crawling. He loves walking with things in his hands. It's like the toys (or whatever the items happen to be) help him balance. It's the cutest thing. I'll try to get a video this week...and I'll try not to film it sideways ;P

My Gym...

Nico is starting to walk pretty well...most of the time. He still likes to crawl, but he's getting there. So with his new found freedom comes boredom at home. Our house just isn't big enough for his imagination. Mom and I decided to take him to My Gym so he could burn some energy. He did really well. I know he will love it more and more the older he gets and the better he gets on his tootsies!

I think he was a little overwhelmed when we first got there.
He is really into balls right now, so he loved the ball pit. He probably says "ball" about 50 times a day...so cute!

Nico had a blast with this grass arrangement we have in our bedroom. I love to hear him laugh!

Nico's First Steps...

Nico has been taking a couple steps here and there for a couple of weeks now. Just recently he has found some confidence and is really starting to walk a lot. I would say he walks about 25% of the time. He's starting to get the hang of it. This one's for you, Babbo!

Baby Jax...

Our good friends, Jack and Samantha, just had a baby boy named Jax. He is so adorable! They came to our house last night for dinner. Nico was all about baby Jax! That is s good thing because I will be keeping the little peanut a few days a week when Sam goes back to work (if she goes back to work ;)).

Tonka Truck...

Santa brought Nico this Tonka truck. He loves to push it around the house. He even makes a truck sound when he's playing with it! He obviously doesn't know it's a truck sound, but nonetheless :) He's pretty good at steering it, too!

Happy New Year...

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve. I made a nice salmon dinner, we hung out at the house with our little man and after he went to bed we had chocolate covered strawberries (homemade by moi) and champagne. I made it to New Year's...well, sort of...I made it to EASTERN New Year's. And, to be truthful, I had fallen asleep on the couch and David woke me up about 45 seconds before the ball dropped in NYC. Now that's my kind of New Year's! David and I had a wonderful 2008, thanks to all of our wonderful family and friends. Our lives are so full. We know this year will be even better! We hope that everyone has just as wonderful a 2009! We love you all!
