Playing with Dirt...

Nico has had a lot of fun playing in dirt this weekend. He is definitely ALL boy! We're actually thinking about making a little dirt pit in the back yard complete with dump trucks, shovels and rubber galoshes.
Love.
That shirt was white when he went out there.

I kid, I kid :)

This was the night before at the Vandy game.

Vandy Game...

Thank you Cat!!! Cat was able to get us tickets to the Vanderbilt Family Day (she works there). In addition to tickets to the game we were fed and entertained at the picnic. We got a late start, thanks to traffic, but had a nice time visiting with Giggy and Wampus a little before the game. Nico was impressed with all of the hype at the game. His attention span quickly shortened after the distraction of cotton candy was out of the picture. We left at half time, but a great time was had the first half for sure.
This was about the 10th picture we asked Nico to take. We'll take what we can get ;)
Cuties!
Eh.
He wanted to see his blue teeth from the cotton candy. I loved his big eyes in black and white, so you'll have to just imagine the blue lips and teeth.

First Day of School...

Nico started preschool last week. This is his second year at this school and he loves it. His teacher's name is Mrs. Florence and there are 7 other kids in his class. I think 5 of those are boys...Mrs. Florence has her work cut out for her! Nico is growing up so fast. I am soaking up every little bit of him I can. We are looking forward to watching him grow and change even more this year. Love you bud!
After a couple of failed attempts at smiling (think Chandler Bing), I told him to smile like her was being tickled.
My big boy!

Happy Birthday La La!

We celebrated Ashley's birthday last week with a Mexican dinner, margaritas and cookie cake. Hard to believe my little sis is 26!!! You are such a beautiful, smart and hilarious woman!
We love you La La!!!
It's not a Mayes party without a reference to Drop Dead Fred!
Nico has turned into a real ham. It takes a good 3 tries before I
get a "serious" picture out of him.
Maybe it's all of the sugar?! He ate that whole piece of cookie cake!

One Last Time...

We got out our little pool out one last time last week. It was a hot one so he needed a strawberry popsicle to help cool off. We have had a great summer, but are truly enjoying the cooler days we've had this past week. Welcome FALL!!!
Notice the murky water...fun with Dove soap :)
