What's new...

Well, we went to the doctor today for Nico's 4 month check up...I know...it's hard to believe he is already 4 months old!!! He is doing great. He weighs 16lbs., 7oz. (80 percentile) and is 27.3" tall/long (101 percentile) or however you measure it when they can't stand up on their own ;). Dr. Forbess said we were free to start Nico on solid food. That includes rice cereal (we would mix it with milk to an oatmeal consistency) and pureed fruits and veggies. I think we are going to take it pretty slow since the little man is still sleeping through the night without the extra calories. Maybe when we get back from Matt and Sarah's wedding this weekend we will start on this adventure. He also got several shots today :( But, he did really good. He only cried for a minute. And I only teared up for a minute.
Before we headed to the mean old doctor we had Nico's pictures made at Sears. They do a pretty good job for what you pay. He did really well here, too. He only cried after he did a face plant into the studio floor (from a sitting position on the floor)! He was sitting, propped up, in a little wedge thingy they have. I turned away for, literally, one second to grab the burp cloth to wipe the drool off of his face and over he went. I think it just scared him more than anything. He is OK...no bumps or bruises. I guess I need to go ahead and prepare myself. He's a little boy and he's going to get hurt...a lot!

I posted some of Nico's 3 month pictures that my friend Krystal took last month. She is awesome. I know I say that every time, but she is! I hope you enjoy!!!

I told you he LOVED it!

Here is a cute video of Nico playing with his new toy! Again, sorry it's sideways...I've got to stop doing that!

Nico's New Toy

Gabby sent us home with one of Emma's old toys. Nico LOVES it!!! Here he is trying it out at Sarah and Adam's.

First Father's Day

David had a wonderful first Father's Day. We went to Huntsville to visit Granny (my grandmother). She made David breakfast...pancakes, yummy! She had a wonderful time visiting with Nico. I am sure she enjoyed us being there, too ;) Then we headed off to Sarah's house for some delicious southern cooking. She bravely took on cooking for a big group of us. David's MeeMaw was there, Aunt Julie, David's parents and, of course, Adam, Sarah and Emma. We all stuffed our faces. Then the kiddos went down for naps while the adults chatted and watched golf. Then Gabby treated us and Paige and Robbie to burgers at Red Robin. Thanks everyone for making David's day so special!

And to two of the greatest role models around:
Babbo-just wanted to say that we all love you and can't wait to see you in August
at Ashley's graduation!
Paw-it was great seeing you Sunday! Love you!

Thanks for everything!!!

Roly Poly

Nico rolled over today!!! He rolled from his belly to his back! I am so glad...I thought we were shortchanging him on tummy time...guess he's getting just enough. I decided to put him down for tummy time after lunch. I held a new toy in front of him, he lifted his head and shoulders high to look at it and over he went. I thought it might have been a fluke so I tried it again. Over he went. He rolled over 3 times before I called David. Yes, David missed it :( He volunteered to work on his day off. Of course when David got home Nico wouldn't do it. He didn't show Giggy when she came over either. He just cried...that's what this picture is. I hope to get a video of him rolling over. I'll post it if I do.
Nico is getting so BIG!
I love this picture...even if it is blurry :)
Happy boy!
Nico has discovered that there is a very handsome baby boy that lives in the bathroom mirror.

My two favorite boys.
Nico worked his toe through David's belt loop while he was napping.
