Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Monday night we took Nico, along with my Little and her brother, to a Sounds baseball game. I have been mentoring Trinity through Big Brothers Big Sisters since February. She is such a sweetie and we always have a good time together. I'm not supposed to put any pictures of her online...sorry. Anyway, we all had so much fun. Trinity caught a foul ball, we saw a rainbow and the kids all played and laughed the entire time. I see more games in our future!
I want cotton candy, please!
Luckily, the rain stayed just to the south of the stadium.

Weekend in Alabama...

We went to Alabama last weekend to visit some family we haven't seen in awhile. While over at MeeMaw's, Robbie got out some old cars and trucks to play with. These boys always have a great time together. Nico loves his Robbie!
Nico is all boy! Anything cars, trucks or sports he loves.

Big Helper...

Nico was such a big help around the house last week...
He helped make a yummy peach dessert...
...and cleaned up afterward!

Cover Kid 2010...

Last weekend was VERY eventful. We (Nashville) knew we were in for a couple of days of rain. We did not know that we were in for one of the largest natural disasters we might ever see. Nashville flooded. Many of our beautiful city's landmarks were damaged, not to mention all of the families that lost everything. I hope to never see anything like that again. It will be a LONG time before everything is rebuilt and back to normal. There's some saying about how you don't really know how much you love something until you (almost) lose it. I know now, for sure, that
I LOVE NASHVILLE!

Before all of the flooding happened, Nico took part in Nashville Parents Magazine's annual cover model search. He did so well! He was a little timid and a lot charming (as usual) on stage. He really knew how to work the judges...he was chosen to be a cover kid! We will get details on the photo shoot and "his month" at the beginning of June. I will keep you posted!
A little nervous about what's in store...
...he figured it out pretty quickly. He really liked his "necklace with money on it". Each kid got a medal before hitting the stage.
The semifinalists.
Waving at the judges one last time.
Boys ruled this age group!
