Christmas Picture Follies...

Trying to get a good picture these days has been comical. Enjoy!
Monkey!
Eli was not happy about this!
This one is so good. Nico and David both smiling...but, oops, why is my face hidden behind Nico's head???
I really liked this one, but David was dead set against having the dog in our Christmas photo.

Seussical the Musical...

Last weekend we had tickets to see Seussical the Musical. Nico has been watching a lot of The Cat in the Hat on PBS so I thought this would be right up his alley. David so generously gave up his ticket when we found out his mom was coming up for a couple of days. I know it was really tough for him to do ;) We went. It was OK. I think Nico really would have enjoyed it more if he was about 3 years older. Oh well. You live and learn!
Nico and Gabby
This child LOVES candy. I'm not sure where he got that from. Definitely not me!!! Here he is eating a Sour Twizzler!
There was a carnival of sorts after the show. Gnash, the Predators mascot, was there. Nico is not afraid one bit of these sorts of characters. He just chats them up like they're his best friend. He practically jumped into Gnash's arms for this photo.

Halloween Happenings 2010...

It has been a hectic, crazy, wonderful time in The Monger household lately. The holiday season is officially upon us and I love it! We started the season off right by baking cookies for Nico's fall party at school. The kids were so cute; They kept asking whose birthday it was!!! Then it was time for Halloween parties galore and trick-or-treating. Phew! Now onto planning for Thanksgiving!!!
Nico loves to help me cook. He drags one of the chairs from the dining room into the kitchen just about every time I prepare a meal...whether it's cereal or pizza or tacos...he wants to help. My little chef!!!
Doing the Monster Mash at his school party.
Ms. Jackie's Little Monsters :)
Gluing the apples on his apple tree.
This poor little fire fighter was such a trooper. Unfortunately, Nico was cursed with David's horrible allergies. Nico has been fighting watery eyes and a runny nose all weekend, but he hung in there through parties and trick-or-treating.
Titans Head Coach, Jeff Fisher (yes, David shaved a mustache for this costume!!!), fire fighter and fire dog at Ronnie and Pat Williams for their Halloween Bash. We actually had a party at our house on Saturday, but I didn't have a chance to snap any photos. I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween...we sure did!!!

Granny's Little Man...

Last night Nico and I took a quick trip to Alabama to visit with Granny. David has been out of town a lot lately, we were tired of sitting at home alone and we missed our GRANNY!!! The trip was perfect; Complete with snacking on junk food and candy and lots of "idiot box" (TV) watching!
Faggidaboudit! You talkin' ta me???
I'm pretty sure there are a couple of pictures of myself in this same pink bathtub! This tub has seen yet another Mayes bottom!!!

Music and Molasses Festival 2010...

Last weekend we went to the Music and Molasses Festival with Giggy and Wampus again this year. It's a cute little festival that is perfect for little ones.
Snuggling the big moose at the kettle corn tent.
Say "Kettle corn"!
This here ol' horse is called Paint Bucket. He's the first pony Nico ever saddle up to (actually at last year's Music and Molasses Festival). Get on little doggy!
Cheesin' in the bounce house.
Solo in the bounce house.
Nico and his stuffed Paint Bucket watching the gospel singers. He got the horse sitting next to him last December and named it Paint Bucket after the aforementioned pony :)
You caught me!!!

Oktoberfest 2010...

Boy. We have been lucky lately with these BEAUTIFUL weekends! We've attended our fair share of festivals recently and this weekend was no different! We attended Oktoberfest in Germantown on Saturday. There were lots of yummy food vendors, beer tents, polka music, a pup parade and much more. We all had a great time!
Posing with a pup! And, yes, that is a golf ball in his hand.
Riding a pony all by himself!

Mt. Juliet Pow Wow...

A couple of weekends ago we went to neighboring Mt. Juliet to attend a Native American Pow Wow/festival. The weather was beautiful and we just had to get outside. There was a train car at the entrance of the park and I got Nico to stop for a picture!!!
Choo, choo! And, yes, that is a monkey he is holding.
